The technology does not attempt to hide or split any ‘fragments’ of biometric data or templates using encryption to achieve ZKP. Instead, ZKP is achieved by generating a True Biometric Hash directly from the biometric scanning device to create cryptographic keys. There is no additional layer required to protect any stored sensitive data because there is none, and, you don’t need to store your private key anywhere.
The public key generated has no sensitive information, its anonymous and is portable between devices and local/Cloud servers without any security risks.
All biometric hash today is derived from a biometric template that is encrypted and stored as a reference for onward matching. Some will split or scramble the template to ensure its anonymity. Various environmental factors prevented the collection of enough datapoints to create a secure, true hash from biometrics, until now.
